Full Description

Causeway across the Fleet. Seen on 2002 AP. (1) The feature is recorded as the Fleet 'Wadeway' path at Shipmoor Point by the DCF MAD, and is dated to 1491. The DCF MAD distinguishes between the 'Land' end and the 'Chesil' end of the wadeway. (2). The line of the causeway is visible on aerial photographs {3-4} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgway Mapping Project.
