Full Description

Unidentified oval feature marked on 1840 Tithe Map. (1) The feature is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Lawnsheds. It may be a mound of quarry spoil. The mound is semi-circular with a ditch in the centre, measuring approximately 10 m by 7 m. (2) The site is not visible as an earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
