Summary
Historic map evidence shows a coal wharf at the east end of Poole quay adjacent to Poole Pottery was built in the second half of the nineteenth century. It was superceded by a new quay at the end of the nineteenth century.

Full Description
A coal wharf adjacent to Poole Pottery lies at the east end of Poole Quay, as shown on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 1. (1) The epoch 2 map shows that the area in front of this wharf had been reclaimed by the beginning of the twentieth century. (2)
