Full Description

A pier shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1885, also shown on the map of 1900. (1-2) The remains of the 19th century pier are also visible on aerial photographs of 2008 and were recorded during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). The remains consist of a U-shaped structure measuring 20 m in length. A further linear structure, measuring 13 m in length, lies 8 m to the east and may also be part of the pier. (3)
