Full Description

Long range torpedo pier marked on the second edition of OS map (1). An early modern torpedo station is visible at this location on aerial photographs of Bincleaves Groyne taken in 1946 (2). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). The platform for this structure is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project (3).
