Full Description

Over a period of years, divers have discovered a number of what appear to be stone anchors (at least 8 have been confirmed as stone anchors although some may be net weights). Intensive study revealed that three were of local Purbeck stone and one was of Isle of Wight stone. A fifth specimen is of Mediterranean origin, thereby opening a possible Roman connection. (1-3)
