2 unidentified aircraft off Portland, lost on the 13/8/40 (1) 13th August 1940 About 16.00 hours two planes were seen to crash into the sea off Portland. It is believed that one plane was British and the other a German. Two German pilots were rescued from the sea and are now in Military custody. (2)
