A ME 110 lost near Bowleaze Cove, 7/10/40 (1)7th October 1940 (list of crashed enemy aircraft)
3 In sea near Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth. Machine crashed at 16.05 hours (M.E. 110) a total wreck having exploded on striking the water. Crew believed to have baled out over the sea. (2)
A German Messerschmitt Me110 that was part of Squadron 9/ZG26. It was escorting aircraft to Yeovil when it was attacked by fighters and ditched off Weymouth at 4.15 p.m. (3)
