A possible circular feature visible in a 1940s AP, a ring ditch? (1) A small circular structure partially surrounded by a barbed wire enclosure is visible on aerial photographs of New Mills Heath, Corfe Castle taken in 1946 (2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a Second World War military site. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
