A group of six circular structures laid out in a hexagonal pattern around a central circular structure are visible on aerial photographs of Shipstal Point taken between 1942 and 1952. These features are considered to be the remains of an anti aircraft battery associated with Second World War activity in this area. A group of buildings, structures and trackways located just to the east of this site may be contemporary with it (MDO28924).

This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). This feature is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (5), this area now being obscured by vegetation cover.
