Summary
Four large flat topped unidentified mounds are visible on an aerial photograph taken in 1947 of Hamworthy Camp, Poole. It is thought likely that these are spoil heaps associated with extraction activities in the local area and are likely post medieval or modern in date.

Four large flat topped unidentified mounds are visible on an aerial photograph taken in 1947 (1/2) of Hamworthy Camp, Poole. It is thought likely that these are spoil heaps associated with extraction activities in the local area and are likely post medieval or modern in date. One of the mounds is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3/4) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
