A gravel pit marked on the second edition OS map (1)
Gravel workings are also visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of 1946. The gravel workings are visible over an area measuring approximately 555 m by 470 m. They consist of numerous pits and areas of disturbed ground. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
