Full Description

Coastguard Station at Southbourne, built between 1870-1898. It comprised a row of brick-built coastguard cottages, a life saving equipment store, another small building and a flag staff. (1)(2) The coastguard station was replaced by a new building adjacent in the 1960s. The coastguard cottages still survive.
