Full Description
A minute urn of bone from Jordan Hill (SY 6982) was exhibited to the society by W C Norman. It was found about 55 years ago by Lieut. Ball RN while removing earth from Jordan Hill to make a flower border at Preston Coastguard Station. It was sent to the British Museum in 1886 and was pronounced by Professor Franks to be of bone and quite unique. <1>
No further information regarding the precise find spot of this urn, or its present whereabouts was obtained during field investigation. <2>
