Full Description

After being stripped of there stores and portable fittings she was towed out not Lyme bay for use as a gunnery and torpedo target. After several hits she turned turtle and sank. (1) Hydrographic Office survey records lists a sweep and soundings survey over the wreck of HMS Empress of India in Lyme Bay (2). 50 29.70N, 2 57.90W
