This may be a duplicate of MWX1864, details are very similar, but locations are different. A brig carrying a cargo of rye that sank in a storm off Chesil Beach in 1859 (1) The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known. Net tonnage
