Full Description
Probable strip lynchet of contour type visible from SY 73848230 to SY 73908190 (Depicted as slope symbol on OS 6 1963). <1>
A very prominent strip lynchet, approximately 400 metres long, following the contour north-south. Published 1:2500 correct. <2>
The lynchet is associated with medieval strip field cultivation marks which are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project <3>.
