SDO10143 - Quay Cottage, 6 Quay Road, Christchurch; Proceedings of the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society.

'Archaeological observations were carried out on the 9th February 1995, during the excavation of footings trenches at 6 Quay Road, Christchurch. The trenches were excavated by hand by the contractor. Observations included the noting of a layer interpreted as a deliberately-laid build-up layer of post-medieval date. At the levels encountered, the boulders did not form any recognisable pattern or structure, and nor did any of the pieces appear to have been worked.'
