Abstract/Summary

‘Mrs. J Young OF Bristol Road, Sherborne, dug up a bronze ring at ST 63731774, a site adjacent to the large quarry off Quarr Lane. The ring was sent to the British Museum and Mr. P. Lasko has very kindly suggested the identification to be St. Bernard, the ring showing an Abbott or Bishop accompanied by a four-legged animal. Mr. Lasko considers its date might be 14th century.’
