Abstract/Summary
‘At the beginning of July 1998 an archaeological field evaluation took place on a proposed development site at Greenhill House, Sherborne. Three small, mechanically excavated trenches were dug around the margins of the proposed development. The first trench displayed truncation and backfilling of comparatively recent date. The second trench contained an intact but largely sterile soil horizon of likely medieval date. The final trench contained a soil horizon and a ditch of demonstrably medieval date.’
