Abstract/Summary
Note on a watching brief conducted by Wessex Archaeology during groundworks for the demolition of 8 West Street and the construction of 1 Hannah's Lane, Abbotsbury. A BA palstave axe had been found nearby during 1954 and yet no archaeological finds or deposits earlier than the 20th century were identified during the watching brief. This may be because the site had been extesively disturbed during the 20th century.
