Abstract/Summary
This watching brief entailed observing the removal of soils from the foundations of the above property to allow underpinning and the digging out of foundation trenches for an extension.
A maximum depth of 2.60m was reached during the underpinning work and the foundation trenches were 1m wide x 1m deep. As a result it was not possible to enter any of the trenches. Yellow sand underlay the deep black soil. No features were observed.
