Abstract/Summary
A total of eleven trenches were dug on the site of a proposed exploratory well site, access track and road junction improvements to the south of West Compton. In the area of the well site, a number of features were identified. However, the only certain archaeological features were two small undated ditches in Trench 2. No archaeological deposits or features were found along the route of the access road or in the road junction improvements.
