Abstract/Summary
'Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Southern Electric plc to carry out an archaeological watching brief during the laying of an underground cable at the site of a moated medieval manor house at Stourpaine, Dorset (centred on NGR ST 860 093). The site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is represented by a complex of earthworks.
During the course of the watching brief, three post-medieval wall foundation trenches and two large undated ditches were recorded.
