Title | Cerne Abbas Resistivity Survey, July 2012 |
Author/Originator | Caldwell, E |
Date/Year | 2012 |
GeoFlow | GF1021 |
Abstract/Summary
Report on a resistivity survey carried out by GeoFlo for a private client to test hypotheses about the layout of Cerne Abbey. Areas selected for survey were the Abbey Porch and the southern limits of the abbey complex situated within the cemetery and the gardens of 29 Long Street and Squibb's Garden next to the church. Results from the cemetery and Squibb's Garden were inconclusive, but anomalies at 29 Long Street and near the Abbey Porch may indicate former buildings, though it could not be determined if these related to the abbey.
