Abstract/Summary
Report on a desk-based assessment of a proposed development site. The authors conclude that the site has low potential for prehistoric, Iron Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon settlement remains and a moderate potential for medieval and post-medieval settlement evidence, but that site levelling for the Fire Station in the 1930's had removed the site's archaeological potential. No discussion of the Fire Station building.
