Abstract/Summary
A brochure for the parish church of Hampreston. It describes the church as 14th Century but notes that there was most likely a church on the same site long before. Major restoration in 1896 is described including the construction of the north aisle and porch and the reboarding of the Nave and Chancel roof. In 1738 an additional two bells were added to the tower to total five. In 1823 a vestry was built. A list of rectors is mentioned with dates from 1261 but the list is not presented in the brochure.
A note is made about a Thanksgiving service held on Sunday, 19th November 1961 to commemorate the 700th Anniversary of the first Rector of the parish give a date post this for the production of the brochure.
