Abstract/Summary
This brief brochure describes the history of St Cuthbert beginning "A thousand years ago" when Obrne was a chapel of ease ans served by monks of tehAbbey. This was until the dissolution in 1539. Descriptions are given on the exterior which notes that nothing remains of the medieval nave but in the interior description it is mentioned that the chancel retains its 16th Century barrel roof and moulded wall-plates.
