Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during November and December 1998 to monitor the excavation of footings trenches for the phase II construction of school buildings.
Only limited evidence was observed here, in the form of undated ditches, in contrast to the findings of recent adjacent investigations. No finds were recovered and as a result, no conclusive date can be assigned to any features. However, the nature of the soils are consistent with a possible prehistoric date.
