Abstract/Summary
Article concerning a description of a mosaic floor uncovered at the Primitive Methodist Chapel, Durngate Street in 1905 and removed to the floor of the Dorset County Museum.
A large part of the article is concerned with a rambling art historical and etymological discussion of tesserae and tesselated pavements.
