Abstract/Summary
Report summarises the results of a programme of archaeological observations and recording carried out by Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit at RNAS Portland, during foundation- and drainage trenching associated with the construction of a new barrackmaster's workshop. The site lies within the former defences of Portland Castle, and the results have confirmed for the first time that the defences were indeed constructed.
