This building was initially inspected on the 25th of July 1983, and a full inspection with access to the nave roof space was made on the 5th August 1983. Access however was not possible to the belfry or the roof spaces over the chancel, vestry or north transept. Historical development was investigated using written records prepared by the Council, for the care of churches in 1982. A detailed examination of the site was made focusing separately on the exterior of the building, followed by an interior inspection of the chapel. Visual inspection also occurred in the roof space to determine the structural viability of the roof.
