Description

Observations and recording during groundworks for housing and excavation of a new foul drain. A small number of undated features were recorded. These included a boundary ditch running east-west across the site, interpreted as a field boundary pre-dating the garden. The other features were ceramic and stone-filled field drains and a stone culvert. Peat and alluvial deposits were exposed at the low-lying southern end of the site.
