Description

Ground clearance in advance of construction of a car park in the garden of the Old School House exposed pits and other features. Arrangements made for Wessex Archaeology to record the features, which consisted of pits, gullies and other linear features, some curvilinear in plan, interpreted as a settlement of Iron Age date. The settlement extended beyond the limits of the approximately 15m by 6m stripped area.
