Description
Evaluation of a c.52.6ha site of a proposed golf course recovered no below ground archaeology. Information from CKC Archaeology. Multiple earthworks (former field boundaries) were observed during the evaluation survey, though no significant archaeological deposits were revealed during the evaluation. Evaluation comprised a total of 9 machine excavated trenches and 30 test pits @ 0.5m sq. a total of 4 sections were cut through extant former field boundaries thought to be at risk form the proposed development, though these trenches were not successful in dating the construction of the earthworks.
