Full Description

The site comprises a pair of 2 storey cottages facing the end of the village green. Built of rubble stone, with gabled slate roof. Probably of late 18th or early 19th century date. The building has small segmental-headed windows to the front elevation and wider 3-light windows with wooden mullions and the remains of dripmoulds to the rear. There is no clear evidence of industrial use. The upper storey of the left cottage is blind in the front elevation, suggesting it may not have originally served a domestic function. Other small buildings in the garden to the rear may also have been non-domestic.
