Summary

A series of strip lynchets are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs on the north-east facing slope of Eldon Hill. They run roughly nw-se to the north-west of Innsacre covering an area 435m by 145m in size. The features are possibly of medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.

Two blocks of strip lynchets are shown on the OS map on the East and South sides of Eldon Hill. <2> A series of strip lynchets are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs on the north-east facing slope of Eldon Hill <3-4>. They run roughly nw-se to the north-west of Innsacre covering an area 435m by 145m in size. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.
