Summary

A public house thought to have been built in the sixteenth century but with many alterations. Surviving features of the interior are reported to include timber roof trusses and wind-braces, and a seventeenth-century ceiling.

Full Description

The Ilchester Arms was built in the sixteenth century but has been much altered. Inside the building, the roof is of five bays with curved trusses and curved wind-braces. <1> Ilchester Arms. Public House, C15th core, C17th ceiling and alterations. <1> <3>
