Summary

Parish Church. Cl2 tower, lower parts, and north and west walling in nave. Chancel and West tower arch rebuilt, c.1400. South Transept and South aisle added in C15. Porch added c.1500. Church restored in C19. North Vestry of 1886, and Organ chamber off North Vestry. Local rubble and flint walls, with ashlar and dressings of Ham Hill stone. Roofs are covered with lead, tiles and stone slates.

(SY59629782) St Mary's Church [NAT] (1) Parish Church of St Mary. C12th tower, lower ports, and West walling in Nave. Chancel and West tower arch rebuilt ca.1400. South tramept and South aisle added in C15th. Church restored in C19th. Grade I. (2-4) The Tympanum of the North doorway is entirely plain. Dated to ca. 1110-1140 AD. (5) A fragment of a sculpture, perhaps depicting an angel,
