SDO18179 - Guide to the Church of St. Mary, Maiden Newton, Dorset

A booklet providing a guide to The Parish of Maiden Newton and a history of the Church of St. Mary, including descriptive sections of its interior. Additionally a floor plan of the church shows the construction era of each section, beginning in c. 1100, Norman. Included at the end is a list of past Rectors, the earliest of which is William Benet in 1280 and the latest is George William Allen in 1966. A later edition of this booklet is attached, otherwise identical in content except for one revision by Michael Corner in 1996 to the Rectors list to include Ian Laurence Johnson who took the role in 1981.
