Summary

Evaluation in 1993 of a proposed borehole site revealed a cluster of shallow pits. Limited excavation of these features recovered pottery, quern fragments and worked flint and chert tools which the excavators described as ‘essentially domestic’. This group of features is interpreted as settlement.
