Full Description
The possible site of a Second World War coastal gun battery. A dispersed group of four structures (possibly building platforms and/or gun emplacements) are visible on the clifftop above Burton Beach on aerial photographs taken in 1942 and 1948 (1-2), they may be associated with the gun emplacement described in MWX1300. The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
