Full Description
An area of small, closely spaced mounds, possibly Second World War anti-glider obstructions, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, inland to the west of Butts Quarries. The mounds are visible over an area measuring approximately 190 m by 55 m. (1) An area of larger mounds, possibly also anti-glider obstructions are located immediately to the north east (see linked record). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
