Full Description

Two areas of medieval or post medieval cultivation ridges are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 2000s to the south of Coombe, Langton Matravers. The features are visible over an area measuring approximately 290 m by 265 m and consist of blocks of narrow ridge and furrow and isolated ridges and furrows. (1-4) The cultivation marks are located around an area of deserted settlement (see MDO30773) and are probably associated with it These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
