Full Description
An area of possible medieval shrunken settlement is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 2000s at the southern edge of Coombe, Langton Matravers. The features are visible over an area measuring approximately 215 m by 120 m and consist of housing platforms located to the east and west of a north-south oriented hollow way. (1-4) Two areas of cultivation marks are located around an area of deserted settlement (see MDO30770) and are probably associated with it. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
