Structures and earthworks visible on the north side of Blandford Camp on 1940s aerial photographs are considered likely to belong to a Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project [1-3]. The features include two anti aircraft gun emplacements and a command post building, alongside further irregular sub-circular earthworks that may be further gun emplacements, weapons pits or foxholes (for example) used for military training purposes.
