Summary
A partial sub-circular fenced enclosure on the south side of Blandford Camp is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. Within the enclosure are curvilinear earthworks that may be practice trenches, used for military training. The features are within an area of First and Second World War earthworks probably used for military training and the enclosure may be a barbed wire entanglement of this date and used for military training purposes. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A partial sub-circular fenced enclosure on the south side of Blandford Camp is visible on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2].
The feature comprises a 97m by 70m oval double fenced enclosure open on its southeast side but abutting a historic field boundary (also the Tarrant Monkton/Tarrant Rawston parish boundary). Within the enclosure are curvilinear earthworks that may be practice trenches, used for military training. The features are within an area of First and Second World War earthworks probably used for military training and the enclosure may be a barbed wire entanglement of this date and used for military training purposes. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
