A shallow ditch, 0.95m wide and 0.35m deep, running NW-SE, parallel with the river was excavated during an evaluation at Penny's Farm in 1992. Three sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from its fill.

A shallow ditch, 0.95m wide and 0.35m deep, running NW-SE, paralle with the river was excavated during an evaluation at Penny's Farm in 1992. Three sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from its fill [3][4].
