Full Description
A trench (excavator's Trench C1) excavated in an area identified by geophysical survey as having general archaeological potential revealed no apparent archaeological features, but seven worked flints and a fragment of pottery were found. The excavators thought that the pottery was probably medieval. A slot was dug into an area of proportionately less gravel and more silt than the surrounding material, but no cut line or artefacts were seen.
