Full Description
'Barrows (39-49) lie N. of the South Circle and around the Centre Circle; some appear on Plate 80 (cf. plan p. 114). … (42) Bowl; diam. 75 ft., ht. 1½ ft.' (1)
The barrow is visible as a cropmark on 1990s and a 2002 aerial photographs (2-4). It measures around 46m in diameter and comprises at least two, possibly three, concentric ditches and a possible central mound. The barrow is truncated on its southwest side by a historic field boundary present on the OS 1st Edition map
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
